On June 21, 2007, twenty-five at-risk, high school students from inner-city Los Angeles visited our facilities with teacher Paul White, author of White’s Rules: Saving Our Youth One Kid at a Time. White and students harvested organic fruits, planted onions, weeded, and learned about irrigation, nutrition, entomology, and engineering. After all this hard work, they enjoyed riding our tractor and a barbeque lunch under the trees.
