Paul White, teacher, mentor and author of "White's Rules: Saving Our Youth One Kid at a Time", paid a visit to Pacific Ag's facility on June 21, 2007. Paul was accompanied by 25 at-risk high school students from inner-city Los Angeles who arrived eager to learn about ag research and organic farming. Local news media arrived on the scene to capture the activity. White and the kids worked and played hard; harvesting organic blueberries and strawberries, planting onions, weeding, learning about irrigation techniques, nutrition, entomology, engineering - but the highlight of the day was riding the tractor. Then everyone relaxed for a barbeque under the trees before going back out into the fields for more work.
